Russ Emery

Russ plays a key role in supporting the financial health and strategic direction of Winster Limited as Finance Business Partner. While much of his work happens behind the scenes, one of his most valuable contributions is giving senior management the time and clarity to focus on driving revenue, by taking ownership of financial processes and insights.

He particularly enjoys the balance his role offers, combining flexibility with the opportunity to make a tangible impact. Russ is passionate about developing efficient Excel models that streamline workflows, improve reporting, and uncover potential cost savings across the business.

Throughout his career, Russ has learned the importance of maintaining a healthy work/life balance. He strongly believes that looking after your wellbeing is essential, and that long-term success should never come at the expense of personal health.

Outside of work, Russ enjoys mountain biking around Cannock Chase and spending time with his dog. He’s a fan of sci-fi films and series, and enjoys following Formula 1 motorsport.

A believer in practical thinking, his favourite quote is: “Hope is not a strategy.”

When it comes to food, Russ appreciates traditional British favourites like cottage pie and fish & chips—though he keeps them as an occasional treat—fuelled more regularly by a strong cup of coffee. For him, a great evening or weekend is simply about spending time in good company.
